![]() ![]() ![]() I have the SP1 install.exe file (537mb), but when I try to install it I cannot as it tells. Because all has been fine I deleted all the old files and System Restore does not go back far enough. I cannot go back in time, as I installed SP1 when it first came out. Windows 7 service pack 1 (which I will only comment on as I am not using Windows server 2008 at home or at work, they are hell bent on using Windows server 2000 lol) it seems to work pretty good although some people have come to me with issues saying that their computer blue screened after their computer rebooted. If you are unable to uninstall SP1, it may become necessary to reinstall Windows 7. Basically I would like to reinstall Service Pack 1. If there are no restore points available or it fails, you can try to uninstall SP1 by opening a Command Prompt window with " Run as administrator" access and type " wusa.exe /uninstall /kb:976932" and press the Enter key. Note: Doing this may require reinstallation of some devices or may cause issues with certain peripherals such as TV tuner cards.Īnother solution for the issue would be to perform a System Restore and to choose a restore point created before the installation of SP1.
